In Memory of James Richard Stidd, Scoutmaster:

From: Hammell, Scott ( )

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the death of our former Scoutmaster, Mr. James Richard Stidd. He passed away on the evening of Sunday, May 21, 2000, after a year-long battle with cancer. His wife Ann, Joey, and Ginny were comforted by your prayers and support during the many month's of Jim's illness. Please continue to have them in your prayers.

Jim was enthusiastic and dedicated in his support of youth at St. Louis School and the Scouting program. A Committee Member since March 1997 when Joey bridged from Cub Scouting, he became Scoutmaster for Troop 680 in October 1998. He always "Delivered the Promise" of Scouting.

Visitation will be at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 South Washington Street, Alexandria, Wednesday, May 24, 2000, 3-5:00 pm and 6-8:30 pm (Rosary in the evening).

The Mass of Resurrection will be held Thursday, May 25, 2000, 11:00 am, at Saint Louis Catholic Church (2907 Popkins Lane), followed by a reception in McClunn Hall (school gymnasium). Dress: Coat/tie or equivalent, not scout uniform. Internment will be in Ohio.

The family have requested no flowers be sent, instead a donation be made to the Saint Louis School Renovation Fund in memory of James Richard Stidd. Address and phone are: 2901 Popkins Lane, Alexadria VA 22306, 703-768-7732.
