Fall Camporee Merit Badge Program

1. The Colonial District Fall Camporee (1-3 Oct 99) will include four Boy Scout merit badge activities:
  1. Indian Lore -- WE NEED A MERIT BADGE COUNSELOR!! If you are an Indian Lore merit badge counselor, please call or email me asap!
  2. Archeology -- handled by Gunston Hall (limited to 30 Scouts). This will consist of the archeological dig portion of the merit badge.
  3. Orienteering -- handled by Tom Baerwald
  4. Pioneering -- handled by Dennis Faye
Merit badge counselors should notify me of any equipment or supply needs they have, to conduct the merit badge session, as soon as possible.

2. The merit badge program will be on Saturday, 02 Oct 99, at Gunston Hall. The schedule will consist of a morning session (8:30am - 11:30am) and an afternoon session (1:00pm to 4:00pm).

3. We would like to involve senior Scouts in assiting the merit badge counselors in running each event. Please provide their names as soon as possible.

4. Reminder: Scoutmasters should ensure that Blue Cards are properly filled out prior to the Camporee. Blue Cards should be turned into the Camp Administration staff upon check in. SCOUTS CAN TAKE ONLY ONE MERIT BADGE during the camporee. Ensure you turn in only one Blue Card per Scout.
